Here at Helix we realize that ninth grade is an important school year for our students.  We want our ninth graders to have a head start on the first, frightening week of high school.  Students who attend Highlander Camp Summer program will be better equipped to deal with the academic structure of high school. Our HC students will get to know a core of teachers and tutors, they will also be able to get familiar with the campus and we hope be excited about the challenge of ninth grade knowing that they have the tools they need to succeed.  Highlander Camp Summer Program is an award-winning program that focuses on connecting students to school, changing student attitudes towards their education and learning new life strategies.  Students will also learn about their personal learning styles, experience group activities to build self-esteem and team cooperation.  During our program the students will do a community service project, go to the beach, go on an over-night to the mountains and hopefully have fun while learning new things about their new school and themselves.
